windkit.Workspace.get_aep#
- Workspace.get_aep(ID=None, crs=None)[source]#
Annual energy production WAsP stored for a turbine site, or for the turbine sites of a group.
The values are WAsP’s as stored in the workspace, parsed without rounding and converted from Wh/y to GWh/y. The totals are WAsP’s sums of the sector-wise values; the omnidirectional gross AEP, from the all-sector Weibull distribution, is available from
get_member().WAsP’s net AEP is the gross AEP minus the wake losses, which PyWAsP and WindKit call potential AEP, so it is returned as
potential_aep. WindKit’snet_aepalso subtracts technical losses, which WAsP does not model. Thedescriptionattributes of the dataset and of the potential AEP variables say so.- Parameters:
ID (int, optional) – ID of a turbine site or turbine site group. Defaults to None, which reads the only turbine site group in the workspace.
crs (int, dict, str or pyproj.crs.CRS, optional) – CRS of the positions, for a workspace that states none. Overrides the stated CRS, with a warning. Defaults to None.
- Returns:
gross_aep_sectorandpotential_aep_sectoron (sector, point) andgross_aepandpotential_aepon (point), in GWh/y, one point per turbine site with the site names as thenamecoordinate and adescriptionattribute saying what it is.- Return type:
- Raises:
ValueError – If the ID does not exist or is not linked to a turbine site or turbine site group, ID is None and the workspace holds no or several turbine site groups, neither the workspace nor
crsgives a CRS, a site holds no production, or its sectors are not windkit’s.- Warns:
UserWarning – If WAsP marked the results of a turbine site, or of its turbine site group, as not up to date.
UserWarning – If
crsdiffers from the CRS the workspace states.
