Workspace.get_owc(ID=None, crs=None)[source]#

Observed wind climate of a met station, as a binned wind climate.

The position is that of the met station holding the observed wind climate in the workspace tree, at its working height, in the CRS the workspace states for it.

Parameters:

  • ID (int, optional) – ID of an observed wind climate. Defaults to None, which reads the only observed wind climate in the workspace.

  • crs (int, dict, str or pyproj.crs.CRS, optional) – CRS of the position, for a workspace that states none. Overrides the stated CRS, with a warning. Defaults to None.

Returns:

Binned wind climate at the position of its met station.

Return type:

xarray.Dataset

Raises:

  • ValueError – If the ID does not exist or is not linked to an observed wind climate, or ID is None and the workspace holds no or several observed wind climates.

  • ValueError – If the observed wind climate is not in a met station, or neither the workspace nor crs gives a CRS.

Warns:

UserWarning – If crs differs from the CRS the workspace states.
